Sunny impressed me with its focus on the importance of hope and distractions. At one point early in the film, the titular character is facing withdrawal symptoms and is struggling to cope when he is distracted by something. Set during Covid times when many of us felt the sharp prick of undesired solitude, I feel director Ranjith Sankar conveys the importance of hope, which he says can only be brought out through others. A solid 90-minute watch.
